Tips for Commuters
First time riding a provincial bus? Here are some helpful tips.
Arrive Early
Get to the terminal 15-30 minutes before your desired departure. Buses fill up fast on weekends.
Bring Small Bills
Have PHP 50, 100, and 200 bills ready. The conductor collects fares on board.
Bring a Jacket
Air-conditioned buses can get very cold. A light jacket or sweater is a must.
Keep Valuables Close
Keep your bag on your lap or between your feet — not in the overhead compartment.
Tell the Conductor Immediately
As soon as the conductor collects your fare, say your destination clearly so they remember to call you when it's time to get off.
Use Google Maps / Waze
Track your location so you know when you're approaching your stop. You can also use Waze to guide your tricycle driver to Casa Lucido.
Avoid Rush Hours
Friday evenings and weekends are busiest. A 1.5-hour trip can become 3+ hours in heavy traffic through Alabang/SLEX.
Going Home
For the return trip, flag down a bus on the national highway. Look for signs reading "MANILA," "PASAY," "BUENDIA," or "CUBAO."
